Berlin, arr. Coy

Horn and Trombone

I have always liked the combination of horn and trombone. The sounds are different enough to provide timbral contrast, but similar enough to blend nicely. Since the available repertoire for horn and trombone duet is vanishingly small, I find myself creating a lot of my own arrangements. In an effort to help popularize this instrumentation, I’ve written three arrangements of songs by Irving Berlin. Each of these jazzy arrangements features a short section of chord changes, with an optional written out solo in case you’re not in the mood to improvise.
